TECHNICAL DATAS (Silver brazing Fluxes)
FLUX : FLOMAX
FORM : POWDER
ADVANTAGES
- Can be made to paste by adding water.
- Strong adhesion towards heated rod end.
- Non glaring flame, non-irrigational to eyes and throat
PRECAUTIONS & SLAG REMOVAL :
As for other fluxes meant for silver brazing.
FLUX : P-203
FORM : PASTE
ADVANTAGE
- Due to very smooth paste form, it is easy to apply , thus wastage of flux is minimum.
- The flux has got very strong adhesion towards Metallic surface and. therefore, oxidation of Surface due to heating is prevented.
- Flame is non glaring and does not sustain Colour defect to eyes during bazing Operation.
- The job remains perfectly visible during Brazing and no goggles etc. are required.
- Low fumes, non irritational to eyes and throat.
PRECAUTIONS
- Over heating be avoided.
- Add few drops of water to avoid drying of flux.
SLAG AND IT’S REMOVAL
Slag left afterwards is hygroscopic i.e. absorbs water from atmosphere, can be removed by water or 1% Nitric Acid solution.
FLUX : FASTFLO-X-3A
FORM : POWDER, can be made to paste by adding Water.
ADVANTAGES
- Sticks to heated rod.
- Wide active temperature range.
- Can be used with every type of brazing rod with equal ease with minimum operational skill.
PRECAUTIONS SLAG AND IT’S REMOVAL
- Over heating be avoided.
- Water or, with 1% Nitric Acid.
